The day is finally here to introduce this cosy little creative space to the world!
So what’s it all about?
The Maker’s Nook is the passion project of Nambucca Valley artist, Rhiannon Wright (Rhi). Her vision for the space is to offer the local community a welcoming and down-to-earth ‘nook’ to find the joys of creating. Whether that happens to be a fun social experience with some mates, or a delve into the techniques of clay and visual mediums.
Aside from the swell selection of cuppas you can brew to accompany your creative endeavours, some fave features of The Nook we can’t wait to share with you include:
- the use of all quality artist and professional grade tools and supplies
- after-hours and weekend classes, workshops and short courses
- school holiday and term classes for kids
- private events for hen’s parties, birthdays, baby showers, team building days, and all your other celebrations
- the variety of mediums on offer – ceramics, watercolour, soft pastels, charcoal and sketch, gouache, and mixed media (to kick us off!)
- our ‘no one way’ approach to creating
Who is it for?
For now, the Makers Nook welcomes adults and kids aged 8 years and older. Our current class offerings are aimed at the very beginner to intermediate, though our more experienced local creatives are always welcome too!
The intention behind this space and our teaching style is to kickstart creativity. We’ll share step-by-step demonstrations, techniques, theory, safety precautions, and awesome quality tools and supplies to get you started on your artistic journey!

What a lovely idea! It sounds like such a wonderful place to get creative.
