The Makers Nook and Kindyplans have teamed up to offer an immersive creative play session for our youngest artists.
Your hosts, Rhi and Ella, are passionate about honouring the magic of play and creative exploration in early childhood. Together, we want to offer children time and space where they are free to explore colour, texture, and sensory-rich materials at their own pace. Here’s what you can expect at our monthly session:
- Playful open-ended creative exploration. We’ll provide the supplies and gentle encouragement to use them, and kids can follow their curiosity.
- Slow, meaningful time to connect with one another. At least one element of our session will bring you and your little one into a collaboration.
- A gentle space for children to build confidence, social ease and early art skills.
The nitty gritty details:
- Last Friday of the month – 10am to 11:30am
- Location: Don Macrae shelter (Valla Reserve), Ocean View Drive, Valla Beach NSW 2448
- Suitable for kids aged 2 to 5 years
- Please ensure kids DRESS FOR A MESS! We do not supply smocks in this session, and it is guaranteed to be messy. We recommend bringing a change of clothes for the drive home.
- A grown-up must stay and supervise their child throughout the session. Grown-ups are encouraged to come along in their mess-ready clothes to play alongside their little ones.
- Any child who is actively mobile must have a ticket to attend. Non-mobile siblings are welcome to come along (free), we will have a few quiet play mats setup.
This session requires a minimum attendance to run. In the event that enrolment numbers are low, we may reschedule or cancel the session. At the latest you will be notified via email two days before the event if the session is not going ahead.
